„Nature Boy“

The Big Band and Symphony Orchestra of the German Radio and TV Station WDR for the second time played songs in their concerts and recorded with the Educci – Quena.

After they played and recorded a song around Christmas time last year with Jens Neufang – Educci and Hiram Bullock – Guitar, Michael Abene decided to include the Educci flutes also for the the new Production with „Birelli Lagrene“. It's a real honor because Micheal Abene is a genious in arranging Jazz (Liza Minelli,Frank Sinatra, GRP-Big Band,Charkes Aznavour and many more). If you look him up on the internet you'll find almost 150,000 entries for his name.
I am very proud, because Jens Neufang has send me some mp3 files right after recording themin the Studio,not mastered yet,but still great work. Michael Abene gave me permission to put them on the website so listen and enjoy!

Nature boy

Jens Neufang has recorded a anew CD with his Fusion Band which will be mastered in the summer and will come out in the fall 2008 (of course with some nice Educci songs on it). You can be sure we'll have a special feature on the website as soon as sales start!i - Titeln drauf). Ein extra Feature über Jens Neufang ist für diesen Zeitraum fest eingeplant.

 

Educci @ the „Tarzan audition in Hamburg

I decided short noticed to attend the audition for „Tarzan“ in Hamburg,Germany. On Friday I will be in the Theatre at 3 p.m. to play. There is the requirement for the large and piccolo traverse flute and fro ethnic flutes of course. The sheet nusic i already downloaded from the internet and the last three days i spent building over 30 ethnic flutes for it. There are bamboo and of course Educci flutes in diverse types and keys. Even if i don't get the job in the end there'll be lots of interesting and novel Educci – flutes maybe for serialproduction. I'll report later how it worked out in Hamburg.

 

Presenting Educci at the „Days for old Music“ in Stockstadt, Germany

On the weekend form May 2nd to 4th 2008 the Educcis were cavorting in the middle of various traverse flutes, duct flutes and harpsichords and had a great start with the enthusiasts of „old music“ (see the picture).

At the Educci stand we felt honored to have a visit of „Arne“ Strathmann with his new sensationell recorder with key mechanisms all over.An Instrument which can be played chromatically and rounds off as a „highend“ instrument the top of the world of recorders. The ultimate „Professional recorder“...a real sensation. The Strathmannflute is soon gonna be available in the Educci-Shop.
